783. Fairfax, Fairfax County (VA003)

… a few blocks away! About a square block or so around the courthouse is the official territory of the county. I assume that is so the courthouse can officially be in its own jurisdiction. As mentioned previously, it’s on par with city hall, but it’s also been expanded, so it’s a nice merger of the old and the new. But that wasn’t the only place we would go that night. Since all this would be for naught without a cache, we went for a ride over to nearby George Washington University.

We managed to find it, a simple bison in a tree, from the flash of light reflected from the untaped ends. It was also very welcome for us because the hour was getting late. Of course, we still had more to do over the course of the night, but the faster we could get them done, the faster we could finish and get to our lodgings for the night.
