800. Media, Delaware County (PA01)

Oh, Pennsylvania!

The courthouse was quite a chonker!  I’ll always get behind a little Neoclassical architecture!  I liked the older, dare I say, more genteel courthouses of Maryland, but Media wanted to make a statement.  It’s a little funny to think that there’s so much difference between one side of the Delaware River and the other.  It’s also a little funny that they brought marble all the way from Georgia for this.  Surely there’s something more local that might impress?  Then again, what does Pennsylvania have a lot of with which to build such an edifice?  Trees?

Kittydcota, Godot, and I were rolling together when we hit the cache.  It was nothing special: a nano under a park bench.  I suspected from the cache title that it once lived on a phone booth, but nothing like that was around to confirm my theory.  Besides, it was merely a means to an end.  The real prize of the morning awaited us in…
