
I was greeted by attractive red brick at the Rutland County Courthouse. If you’re into Classical Revival, this is the courthouse for you! Maybe. I had to take a photo from the car because we were rushing, so I didn’t have time to walk around. We had far more important things to attend to.






We had chosen the cache for this county before many of the others in the state. As mentioned previously, some of us have an irrational attraction to covered bridges. As fate would have it, Rutland County is home to a Virtual requiring a tour of its covered bridges. We popped around the county, driving and walking over bridges, wrapping ourselves in more hot, sweet, covered-bridge action. A number of the bridges had Traditionals and Adventure Labs of their own, so why not look for them while we were onsite? I’m not into bridges myself, but I understand why someone might be drawn to their quaintness. Besides, who am I to argue about anyone’s obsession, caching or otherwise?

But even hot, sweet, covered-bridge action had to end. We were getting closer to sunset but were still far from our lodgings for the night. We continued north, passing through…
