Anybody aware of my caching handle probably knows that I was pretty much honor-bound to watch a new movie that just premiered. I said I was going to wait until the crowds died down, but I’m obviously a liar because I saw it at the first reasonable opportunity. I slipped out of work and headed straight to the movie. It was good (though I have a number of issues with it), but it was also long. So when I got out of the theater, it was quite late, and I needed to find a cache!
I began with one that had been tempting me for a while, a D2.5/T3.5 Traditional on a road median. I had seen beloved businesses come and go my entire life around it, so it felt fitting to go find it. Unfortunately, I’m not great at finding things in trees at the best of times, much less at night in an elevated location. I gave it about fifteen minutes and then decided to let it go. Time was running out. It was late, and I wanted to get home and explain to everyone online why I was a little disappointed with the movie I had just seen. I redeployed to a nearby D4/T1.5 at a local gym. It didn’t take much searching to find a magnetically attached bolt. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
My point here (and I do have one) is that I watched a movie and managed to find a cache afterward because you can always find time to find one, no matter the time or place. At least if you’re in a major city, that is. It might not be quite as easy when things are rural, but I guarantee you can still manage. They’re everywhere! And aren’t we glad about that?
