Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah!

The festival of Saturnalia looms over us once again. In a rare occurrence (twice this century thus far and three times last century), the first night of the Jewish festival happens on the Christian holy day, with the Black celebration following the next day. This means there will be a lot of people lighting candles, opening presents, and having feasts in the same small window of time. Maybe you’ll be traveling; maybe you won’t. Maybe you’ll be with family and friends; maybe you won’t. Maybe you don’t even celebrate any of the holidays that are in such close proximity. Whatever your relationship to the days, I hope you all—cacher and muggle alike—have good food, a warm place to be, and people or pets or whatever you feel good with surrounding you. Further, I wish you health, happiness, and all the joys of the season.

And if you’re not already doing so, go make some merry out there!
