Nope… Nope… Nope…

Alright, I will cede that Treasures are making me go after caches and D/Ts that I might not normally go after. Normally, I just grab a nearby or easy to get to cache and then go on with my day. But because of my need to complete things, I opted to go after one of the two D/Ts I need to finish that darn picture collection. It was either a 2.5/1.0 or a 1.0/2.5. Since it was raining on and off, I didn’t want to fiddle with any Terrain wonkiness so 2.5/1.0 it was. I happened to be running an errand for bottlecaps when I noticed a library Multicache was nearby. I like libraries so I went to GZ, where I found a QR code. The code gave me instructions which I followed and that’s how I found myself seated with a wooden box filled with bison tubes. I had considered making something like that before, but more diabolic (imagine an ammo can filled with nanos and only one has the log) but the cost to make it would be more than I could bear for a single cache (I estimate an ammo can can contain about 900 nanos) and I would also need to figure out how to demagnetize something (for reasons, of course) so I never did it. But the the way it was made was clever enough with the added complication/joke that each bison attempted (of course, only one had the log) was another leg of the Multi. I never would have gone after an eight-stage multi on most days (past history to the contrary), but I consider myself lucky that I was able to find the log in only seven attempts. The previous finder managed to set the record with 64 attempts, which is tragic since that’s how many bisons there are. The patrons swirled around me, little the wiser that I was one step closer to finishing another collection, one cache closer to finding them all or some kind of crap like that. Heck, I even gave the cache one of my stingily hoarded favorite points because why not? I’m blasé, but I got a chuckle out of it and it’s not like I don’t have over 850 of them to toss around.

Other than that, I’m making a slightly unexpected trip to L-Town over the weekend, Texas Challenge planning continues apace, and Turkey Day approacheth. Whatever am I to do with all that?
