I pulled up to the courthouse to find it under construction. Courthouses need tender loving care, but I suspect this was an expansion based on the work around the site. Maybe they’re adding an annex?
Around the corner was another county courthouse, I assume an older one. Perhaps the newer one is recently constructed? I don’t know and it involves research that I’m a little too busy to do (or, in reality, care about). The good news (I thought) was that there was one at the old jail, right on the grounds of the courthouse. The bad news was that that area was fenced off with the rest of the construction. I made a decision: I had already gotten the most important caches in the area so anything speedy that would get me going would be good enough.
That said, there was a cache about an mile and a half away with over a hundred favorite points. So I went for it. I have to give it kudos for being clever, putting it in a fence post in an interesting way. While I normally am willing to take on the karma of showing a cache, I didn’t want to give away the secret of something worthy of one of my stingily hoarded favorite points.
