The county courthouse was little more than drab gray, unattractive bricks piled on top of one another. I wasn’t going to speak ill of it because Haralson County was small, and it obviously fulfilled their needs. Now, however, I will speak ill of it because during my research in preparation to make this post, I learned that there was an old courthouse that was a bold red, absolutely attractive pile of bricks in the center of town that I missed! Situations like this are why I relaxed my standards when it came to courthouses; why would I take the boring crappy one when there was a gorgeously vibrant one to choose instead? But technically a courthouse is a courthouse is a courthouse. Those gray bricks were the Haralson County Courthouse, so my mission was accomplished, and I feel no need to go back.

The cache was pretty much the same as the courthouse. I went for an LPC not far from my hotel and found a Ziploc bag with stuff in it. Technically, a cache (if you consider a baggie to be a container), but I didn’t care at that moment. My goal for the day (with a couple of exceptions) was to get quick, easy, and to the point caches. I had already cut out counties the day before, so I hoped that I might be able to save enough time over the course of the day to perhaps make an audible and pick up an extra. But I’d cross that bridge when I got to it, hopefully not in…
