895. Eutaw, Greene County (AL06)

Is this the county courthouse?  I mean, it has a plaque on the front that says “Greene County.”  The property is called Courthouse Square.  There’s a flag and a monument out front.  You would think that they could at least afford some lettering or a larger signage that says “Greene County Courthouse,” but what do I know?  Other than this wouldn’t look out of place in a French colony town.  Where am I?  Louisiana?

The cache I ultimately went with (there were few options) was called Welcome to Eutaw at a sign welcoming me to Eutaw.  Pretty on the nose, no?  It was on Mesopotamia Road so had my children been with me, a singalong would no doubt have broken out.  I found an easy park and grab.  Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.  And then continued on my way to my final stop for the day…
