
After passing through Garden City, Cimarron, and Dodge, here I was. I didn’t think I was going to be coming through here, but I got routed really close, and since I was only going to be a few miles away, I figured why not? Might as well give it a try considering Lakin seemed to work out well (alright, maybe only decently, but still). Well, long exposure, maybe you’re beginning to win me over… Again, nice courthouse, but nothing overwhelmingly special. They can’t all be amazing on the best of days, and at night less so, I guess. And, of course I had to grab a cache…

This was a stunning little find in the middle of the night. It’s a little pocket park a few blocks from the courthouse. I’m not going to lie… I’m glad I caught this at night for obvious reasons. The lights, the stars, the cool of the night. The cache itself was underwhelming, a key box on a drainage grate, but this? This was a bit of magic. Maybe this night caching thing has some potential? Of course, not every nighttime find is going to be like this. Guess I better enjoy the lovely ones I find, no? But not for long. The night and the road both stretched out before me. I was getting closer to my intended starting location and the opportunity to sleep. I left the starlit park behind me and continued my southward trek into…
