702. West Point, Cuming County (NE19)

When I pulled up to this courthouse, I thought it wasn’t bad. It was the 1960s, I thought, but this one felt like they really put some effort into it. Someone somewhere actually tried to come up with something that would approach stylish and classic. I didn’t think they quite made it, but someone really put in some effort and thought, at least. I gave partial credit. Later research revealed it was built in the 1950s. Full marks for being forward-looking!

The cache was only a lamppost at a food-and-drug store.  I know that I say that as if it were somehow inferior, but as I have often said, a cache is a cache is a cache.  This one was one of the few in town that had been recently found, and I didn’t want to take any chances on the others.  I had far too much to do.  I put ink on the log and headed off again, this time to…
