I’m Ansel Adams, Y’all!

Ok, maybe that’s a bit of hyperbole. I’m hardly Dorothea Lange or Man Ray, either. But they could only dream of the tools I have at my disposal! As I promised long, long ago, I have had my phone camera repaired! I initially considered replacing my phone, but the cost wasn’t to my liking. That, and expense is somewhat secondary when it comes to phone choice for me. We live in an age when phones are getting bigger and bigger, and that’s not my scene, man. If I wanted to carry something as large as a modern phone, I’d become a Roman reenactor and purchase a wall shield. I’m still slightly miffed that my current phone is a hair larger than my previous one, but the improved imaging capabilities make up for it. But that’s beside the point. I went to a phone repair shop and told them about my issue (I tried to demonstrate, but ironically my phone chose that moment to act right). They had the requisite part and told me it would take them about half an hour to replace it. I got dinner and returned to a phone camera that was as good as new! It’s nice to actually be able to get my image without camera trickery again! Therefore, my production quality can return to the same levels as the heady days at the beginning of the year. And no, that is not some kind of cleverly veiled threat.

Thanks to the repairs and my job keeping me past my normal quitting time, the hour was getting late. I had to find something, but I didn’t feel like running to the ends of creation, unlike on other days. My initial attempt was a bust. It was hidden under the hood of a wrecked car at a business, but I think they bolted down the hood to keep people from doing the kinds of things I was trying to do, only with trash and other … questionable paraphernalia. My second attempt, though, was a success! I slipped into a parking spot at a hotel and found it in a tree just over my head. Easy and peasy with just a dash of lemon squeezy. I pulled out my phone, turned on the camera, and zoomed in on it for the first time in a couple of months. It’s a silly victory, but I’ll take it! Those little victories all add up!

  1. Oh, that is such a cute container! I sometimes wish you would add the GC code of the find so I can see if I can visit it myself!
