1. It being Fathers’ Day weekend, the Girls were down here for a visit. They helped me find a cache on Saturday while we were running around doing stuff and things. Mistakes were made and that caused some difficulty, but it all got resolved in the end.

2. On Friday, Juneteenth, a Mystery dropped at the Texas African American History Memorial at the State Capitol. If I was taking my role as a Black cacher more seriously, I would have gone down there so I could get the FTF for it on Juneteenth. But I was tired from working and I was waiting for the Girls to show up so I passed on it. Consequently, someone else got the FTF and, while the Girls helped me find it, it wasn’t on Juneteenth, the most thematically appropriate day. There is talk in high places that I may get my Black card revoked.
3. On Sunday, I hosted a biannual solstice Event. Not only did it have a good attendance, but I got a call from Tygress and Waterweasel, who I inherited the Event from. We all miss them and somehow I’ve got to figure out a time when I can go back to Oregon so I can visit them. Unfortunately, I’ve got other things in the hopper before that’s going to be a thing. Why can’t I have functionally limitless time and money so I can go where I want when I want for as long as I want? If I could make quarterly, week-long trips, you all would be hearing about pretty much nothing but counties from me for the nine years and change it would take me to complete the Project.
4. My doom and gloom last week turned out to be unfounded. Circumstances have changed, meaning that my original plans are once again all systems go. In a couple of weeks, I’ll start telling you all about my trip to [REDACTED]. And it won’t be a moment too soon. Believe me, I need to get out on the road so badly.
That is all.
