925. Madison, Lake County (SD07)

After some of the courthouses I’d seen that day, another nice piece of art deco was enjoyable.  I wondered, based on the decorations and embellishments if pioneer deco was a thing (it’s not) but if it wasn’t then maybe Madison’s courthouse had pioneered it.  It also got lucky because the retaining wall around the base of the grounds lifted everything up just enough that I didn’t have to summon the Future Arborists of America to see a bad example (though they should probably take cautious heed anyway). 

As for the cache, it was my first nano of the trip!  It was stuck to an iron signpost for water sprayers and removal of camper … detritus (for lack of a cleaner term).  Quick, easy, to the point, Madison provided what I needed, and, with that, I was off again to…
