The Camden County Courthouse was perfectly cromulent as courthouses go, a nice and solid piece of art deco. Not great, not bad. My only real objection was the front awning. It seemed to clash with the rest of the building, but being that it’s a functional courthouse, that shouldn’t be a big deal for me. As I have said many times (and other people have also spoken), if it’s stupid and it works, it isn’t stupid. Except it is for me because I’m judgmental like that, which is a different issue altogether.

The cache was gotten before the courthouse at a roadside park that obviously had a bit of history, but none interesting enough to me that I was enthused to remember (or really even learn) it. It was a clever little tube with wooden ends, stuck into a hole through a post. Oddly enough, I spotted it on the way from the car to GZ, but I ignored my feeling. The hint offered the ever helpful advice “Look around.” My daughter and I looked over the usual suspects to no avail. When nothing appeared near GZ, I expanded my search to the post hole and voila! My senses had been right in the first place. You know, for all my complaining, I might be getting kinda good at this geocaching thing. Once the reposuimus step was passed, we hit the courthouse and then continued on down the road. We started early, but there was still much to do as we went on to…
