Another Project Continues

So my older daughter brought a bear ring that she wanted to turn into a trackable. It’s not as robust as I might have hoped, but it’s what she wants to use so, consarn it, we’re going to use it! But that’s not what I want to talk about…

So I’ve been working on a multi-cache for a while. It’s been progressing well (except for some bisons that got lost in transit), but last night I got a fire in my stomach and decided to build my final…

It’s nothing particularly fancy. There’s a bunch of concrete in the bottom of it to hold it down and I added an airproof screw lid. Put some shackle links on the sides and on the lid to attach a chain and locks. I need to epoxy everything to ensure it’s all waterproof, but I think this will work as a decent large cache. And I’m happy with how it came out. I might shorten the chain, but that can wait for a bit. Once the bisons come in and I finish up the various flavor texts/redirectors for the various waypoints, it’ll be time to start placing. Of course, I’ve already started planning another multi based on the Orient Express. I really shouldn’t be putting the cart ahead of the horse, thinking about another multi when the one I’ve got isn’t done yet, but I wager there’s more than a few of you out there who have cache planning on the brain. Amirite (as they say in the parlance of our time)?
