
So Jena is really small. Not Paint Rock small, of course, but definitely on the small side of what I would consider a town. That said…
…at least they had a little something on their courthouse grounds to look at. But there was literally nothing of interest I saw otherwise here other than some building construction across the street. I’m sure there must be something that is worthy of note here, but I cannot for the life of me think what it could be and I most certainly didn’t see it. Maybe I was too fixated on my next destination? Maybe I was closed off to possibilities that this town could provide? Maybe I’m just a haughtily myopic little man? All these are possibilities. You can entertain the notion of which one it was/is. I had more important things to do here.
The cache was an electrical plate at the town park. I feel a little embarrassed to say that it took me about 10 minutes longer to find than it should have. That said, it was placed between two electrical meters in such a way that it’s hard to spot unless you’ve got the right angle. Of course, I had the right angle three times and missed it before I spotted it so I absolve myself of any failing feeling I may have felt. I couldn’t get my phone in a good place to photograph it so you will have to live without a picture. Flush with success, I haughtily got back in the car and got moving to…
