424. Clarendon, Monroe County (AR29)

Yes, this is a lovely courthouse. Yes, it’s a little big different and interesting. Yes, it’s incredibly tall, quite possibly taller than any other one I’ve seen in Arkansas up to this point. That said, I had just spent 5 hours driving here from Illinois and I was so freaking tired. The only thing that could give me hope of remaining awake would be the rising sun. Daylight would keep me going and I had a few few hours until that, but I was up so I might as well grab a cache.

Somebody was nice enough to leave cache a couple of blocks away at the local library, a keybox on the underside of a sign. The funny thing was that as soon as I walked up to it, I knew where it had to be, but I looked and didn’t see anything. I looked around at some other things and double checked where GZ was supposed to be and came back. The second time I looked, boom went the dynamite and there it was! I don’t know if I had a general brain fart the first time or it my tiredness was catching up to me. Truth be told, it was probably a little from column A and a little from column B.
