So, my cache today wasn’t anything special in and of itself (it was blurry because sometimes I forget how to take a photo, but that’s a different issue altogether), but its location was an interesting thing.

It turns out that Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has a viewing area. I’ve lived here all my life, and I had no idea this was here. My grandfather was a sergeant in the Air Force and worked here back when it was still a base, and I had never heard of it. I can only imagine that this is a great place to sit and watch the planes land over and over (I saw three in the short time I was there). It seemed a little unused, which was somewhat expected because I can’t imagine watching planes land carries the same entertainment cachet that it once did, but what do I know? Well, I know that there’s a challenge nearby!

My buddy, the irrepressible Carrot Killer, left a challenge for cachers visiting from exotic foreign lands like Idaho and Rhode Island. Nothing too difficult (find five cache types in Texas), and I’ve long since accomplished it. It never hurts to have another challenge ready for a rainy day. I grant you not the most exciting day, but good enough, no?
