Leap Day Approacheth

Every four years (unless the year is divisible by 100 but not by 400), reputedly thanks to Julius Caesar (because Bibulus was either a religious zealot or a clever politician), we add a day to the year. Of course, in this modern age of electronics and GPS, we occasionally add leap minutes and leap seconds, but what matters is that we collectively take our extra day and—we hope—make something special with the extra time we’ve been given. Or some kind of crap like that.

Of course, we cachers, being in the line of interest we have chosen, we’re all doing it for the souvenir! But there’s another marker that some of us have on our radars. Those of you familiar with Project-GC (which is all of us, right?) probably know that our profiles’ BadgeGen feature has tabs for Leap Day finds of most of the types and sizes. Traditional or Whereigo, regular or micro, the jeweled badges show your Leap Day cred. My personal Leap Day cred is about to be kicked up a notch. I already have it on several badges from last Leap Day, but this Leap Day, I’m getting not only a few more types and sizes but also that rarest of the rare ones, a Leap Day Mega Event!
