Getting this photograph turned out to be more difficult than you might think. Why? Because…

Who brings their family to the county courthouse to practice a family dance routine? Seriously? I tried to be as surreptitious as I could be, snapping shots where I could without them in it, but I knew eventually someone would ask why I’m taking shots around them and all that. Better to get out in front of all that so I interacted with the locals for a bit and told them the truth: that I photograph courthouses and was trying to get a shot of this one without them in it. So they took five and watered up while I did the thing. Not my best shots since I was trying to hurry. Well, that and the sun was getting low and complicating my light situation. I spent about 10 minutes looking in the alley behind a seemingly defunct restaurant but, as the meme says, ain’t nobody got time for that. I, instead, popped over to a nearby church and found a well hidden key box on some telephone equipment. It wasn’t particularly photogenic or interesting so I didn’t take a photo. That and I was distracted. I knew I wasn’t going to be stopping for rest now that it was getting dark. I was far enough west that I decided to fix an oversight from my last trip west.
