415. Harrisburg, Saline County (IL004)

Alright, this courthouse was a little disappointing. More than a little, actually. It wasn’t actually “bad” as I might normally define it. Just incredibly underwhelming, especially after having seen pictures of the older courthouses. Those were absolutely lovely, but this one…? I do, however, feel I should give credit where credit is due: I had to stand in the middle of the street to get this photo because the building is on the most minimal area possible, and the truck that rolled up on me while I photographed was kind enough to not only not hit me, but waited for me and prevented anyone else from doing what he could have done. All it takes is for someone to find a new bench or possibly a couch to replace it and it’s gone into the ether. A cache is a cache is a cache, though. It’s future is ultimately of no concern to me any longer. My future, however, would lie across a river. I’ve driven over the Mississippi and the Ohio today. Now I was about to cross the Wabash and continue east until I made it to…
