This trip was a little disappointing. Not because the trip itself was bad, but rather because I didn’t manage to get much of anything done. Call me weak, but the rain sapped a lot of my desire. There’s a reason I carry gloves AND wipes in my caching stuff. I don’t mind getting a little dirty, but mud and grime everywhere? Gaaaah…
I had hoped to get out to several more area cemeteries, but it was not to be. I was also under a bit of a time crunch. Even though I was in town before 8:00 a.m., I had to be back in Austin by 3:00 p.m. A bit of a crimp on time to say the least. Had I an hour more, I would have hit at least one more location for caches, but I had to go. I grabbed some lunch to eat on the road and started rolling. Besides, there was something else I had too see…
So I’m in just south of Hye, Tx (population: tiny) when I find this…
Well, well, well… Let’s see if we can crack this one. 🙂
What you couldn’t see in that photo is the rain that started pouring down about three minutes after this picture. I’m sure I was a sight, standing there under my umbrella (you know, the one I bought in Fredericksburg because I didn’t bring one), getting soaked for twenty minutes. But I couldn’t crack the pattern in the time allotted. If you think you might have insight, comment below and I’ll send you all three sides to look at and consider. But, time and the elements were still not on my side. I had to get scooting back down the road and that led to…
We have a bunch of those gadget caches up here. One of them there was a log from someone about youtubing the lock. Sure enough, the 4 letter locks are easily “pickable” if you know what to do. As far as the actual cache, I’d bet there is some sort of pressure switch and touching the right dominoes would reveal an answer.
