449. Bartlesville, Washington County (OK43)

Interesting courthouse… I already have a couple of Washingtons to my credit, but there’s something about this one. Is it just me, or does it look like something you’d see in an older East Coast building? A very classic American look. Of course, this is pure supposition since I haven’t made it that far yet. Maybe there’s a story here I’m just not privy to? As a sidenote…

I noticed this mural. It’s not the first similar mural I’ve seen like this. Was this an art trend at some point and I didn’t notice? I guess it might have been before I was born, but I wonder…

The cache turned out to be a nano on some metal at a little park. Luckily, it didn’t take too long because it happened to be in the second place I touched. That’s good because it gave me a little extra time back from earlier in the day with the virtual and the earthcache back in Sapulpa. It also means this was a short visit. I sometimes miss just spending an hour or so feeling a little local color, but, let’s be honest: it’s been a long time since I’ve done that, and even then rarely in small towns unless it was absolutely necessary.
